The first marked "Sterling", wave and fish designs, no monogram; the second in sterling silver with the 1920 Birmingham mark of Deakin & Francis, monogrammed "PGH"; the third marked "Sterling" with ornate scrolling motifs, monogrammed "JDL" to central locket cartouche; the fourth marked sterling with allover swirl pattern motif, no monogram; the fifth unmarked, likely sterling with engraved floral motifs, monogrammed "MLB", the sixth of a dog with feathered hat, with worn Birmingham sterling silver mark, no monogram; the seventh marked "C. Silver", with ribbon tied floral boquette to front and back, no monogram; the eighth a Norwegian .830 silver matchsafe by Mangnus Aase, hammered finish, with polar bear on iceberg design above "Spitsbergen / S/Y Irma", no monogram.
