The master salts with mark of William Gale & Son of New York, dated 1852, parcel gilt, circular form with paneled sides featuring grape clusters, cartouches, and flowers, raised on four bracket feet, each with period "ERH" monogram (1 7/8 x 2 3/4 in.); the salt spoons with mark of Bailey & Co. of Philadelphia, circa 1860, with sterling silver mark, parcel gilt, each with period "MB" monogram (3 7/8 in.).
