Both with 1869 date letter, the boat form bowls featuring cutwork scroll and anthemion design to rims, each bowl with cast handles in the form of a young cherub holding a medallion plaque at his waist, the bowl raised on a cast base comprised of acanthus scrolls and cornucopia style bodies morphing into the head and forepaws of leopards above a stepped pedestal foot, each base features a shaped base with conforming cutwork design, the interior of each well with period engraving (differing slightly), each with period monogram to one exterior side of bowl, model number 355, one further marked with a heart and the other with a quatrefoil, one also with unusual initial below the Gorham trademark.

Centerpiece #1 - engraved decoration surrounding cutwork, light scratching and two small pinpoint dents to well of bowl, drop at base of central support is likely a replacement and differs from second centerpiece.

Centerpiece #2 - no engraved decoration surrounding cutwork, one small bent element to anthemion leaf on bowl, one "cornucopia" stem bent under edge of bowl, light scratching to interior of well, one scratch on exterior of bowl with some visibility to interior of bowl
