Born in Jaffa, Israel, Ofra Friedland is a highly respected Israeli artist working in a myriad of media. She studied at the Ramat Gan College of Art and the Avni Institute in Tel-Aviv. She also apprenticed with several of Israel's leading artists. Her subjects range from a series of panels based on the Psalms of King David, murals of scenes in Jerusalem, a series of "The Twelve Tribes," symbols of the Jewish tradition, "The Spirit of Women" and more. She works in oils, glass, ceramics, and textile design. She has also been commissioned to design complete environments for synagogues and other private spaces.
