Charles Birch (1867-1956) Willis Wharf, Virginia. This stylish decoy was from the iconic collection of Doc Starr and is so branded. It sports the grace of form for which Birch decoys are so admired. It probably began its life as a small bluebill and repainted as a goldeneye many years ago.
