Alvin Harris, Redhead Hen
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Alvin Harris (1904-1975), Atlantic, NC. This rare and exceptional decoy is from the small rig of decoys published on page 113 in Jack Dudley's book, Carteret Waterfowl Heritage. These hen decoys were made from the salvaged balsa live raft material which was from liberty ships, some of which were sunk by German U Boats during World War II. Alvin Harris decoys are almost impossible to find and we are honored to be able to offer this decoy to market.

Length 15 in.

From the Personal Collection of Mr. Kroghie Andresen, Charlotte, North Carolina
