Wallace O'Neal, Jr. (1896-1976), Currituck, NC. This important decoy was from the hunting rig of Joseph P. Knapp. Knapp was the founder of Ducks Unlimited in 1937. Knapp cut the bottom down on many of the decoys so they would ride the heavy Currituck chop better. This decoy began as a redhead and received widgeon paint in the 1950s.
