St. Clair Midgett (1894-1965) New Inlet, NC. This swimming widgeon decoy was in Beans Weatherly rig and is so branded. Beans was one of the founders of Ducks Unlimited in North Carolina. This elaborate widgeon paint was probably applied in the 1950`s.
