This incredible carving was probably made in upper Back Bay, Virginia by an unknown hand. It is a wonderfully carved bluebill hen in original paint. The head has very prominent cheeks and sits on a high neck shelf. This decoy is truly stunning in hand and needs to be held to be truly appreciated.
