19th century, iron red diaper painted ground populated with four shaped registers with dimpled corners containing auspicious animals in each: a pair of birds with peonies, fish jumping from waves under a plum blossom branch, a cricket on blooming branches, and a dragon emerging from the sea, meticulously patterned borders at the foot and under the rim, the flat surface of the rim is painted with floral sprigs and moths, underside is unglazed.
