John Austin ( 1891-1981), Corolla, North Carolina. John spent his childhood days in Corolla Village and became a market hunter and waterman at a very early age. He served his country as a soldier in World War I. After his military tour, he became a commercial fisherman and hunting guide. His decoys have a large, bold form.
