Augustus "Gus" Wilson (1864-1950), South Portland, Maine. Gus carved many decoys while working as keeper of Marshall's Point Light. His best decoys are animated sculptural masterpieces and this decoy is one of them. It has an inletted high head with a slight look down to the left. It looks magnificent at every angle.
