Alexander Julian is a leading American clothing designer who was born and raised in North Carolina. Julian attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and simultaneously worked in his father's clothing store, Julian's. With an early zest for clothing design, Alexander opened his own store, Alexander's Ambition, at the age of 19. His trajectory of success continued from there, ultimately earning him five Coty Awards for design, the Cutty Sark award three times, and the Distinguished Alumni award from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1988. Some highlights from Alexander's roster of design accomplishments include the uniforms for the Charlotte Hornets when they joined the NBA, and the trademark argyle pattern in his famous design of the UNC Tar Heels men's basketball uniforms.

Overall good condition; some small abrasions to edges; one foot missing protective plastic causing a slight unevenness.
