Meiji period (1868-1912), late 19th century, porcelain hand painted with large peony and chrysanthemum blossoms under a flowering plum blossom tree beside a field of irises, the rim is decorated with floral arrangements and textiles patterns in mostly iron red, cobalt blue and gilt.
