Vintage North Carolina Mountain Dulcimer With Native American Theme

The interior inscribed "Hand Made by Joseph Wade Old Fort, N.C. No. 4 August, 72," four-string, sixteen fret model, made with various woods, the "scroll" is carved as an Indian chief's head while the base of the fingerboard is a chipped arrowhead form; the top with four sound holes, two carved as yin-yang symbols and two resembling butterfly wings.

Lifting sections of the fingerboard have made paper-thin gaps above the dulcimer's top; overall wear and dings.
