Late 20th century, steel towel bars mounted to a stone base with black and white carved and polished marble towels, appears unmarked.

DOA 80 x 24 x 12 in., larger marble towel 21 x 5 x 4 in.

Be Gardiner was born in Washington, D.C. and earned his BA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He studied extensively with master stone carvers in Carrara, Italy and brought classical techniques to a modern aesthetic. His sculptures have been exhibited at the Greenhill Center for North Carolina Art in Greensboro, the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida and numerous other public collections.

Chip and loss to white towel; pitting and surface rust to metal stand.
