Manson Meekins (1916- 2018), Avon, North Carolina. Manson was a legendary waterfowler from Avon, NC. He joined the Coast Guard in 1935 and served our country in World War II. Manson carved this hollow pintail in the 1950s and used it in his curtain box blind. It has wonderful paint. This exact decoy is published on page 356 of Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.
