Avery Tillet (1903-1963), Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Avery was the first born son of Alfonso Tillet so he grew into the waterfowling world honestly. He made some very attractive canvas duck decoys. Many of them, like this drake canvasback, have elongated bills that give them a strong look. The exact decoy is published on page 291 of Gunnin` Birds by Kroghie Andresen.
