Robert Pigott (1879-1948), Tusk, North Carolina. Robert Pigott is one of the most significant decoy makers from North Carolina. His decoys have strong folk art appeal and are highly prized by collectors. He lived a sparse and simple life. No photographs of him exist and he has no grave marker. His decoys, however, are a reminder of his important life. This goose is exceptional and important.
