Madison Mitchell (1901-1993), Havre de Grace, Maryland. Mitchell began carving in 1924 and became known as the Dean of Havre de Grace carvers. Today, some of his work is displayed in the Smithsonian and Havre de Grace Museum. This pigeon decoy is signed and dated 1968. It is a very rare carving made by Madison Mitchell.
