Ailene is a Brooklyn native sculptor whose work conceptually often draws on Greek mythology, dreams, and fairy tales. Through studies with Bruno Lucchesi and further study at The Sculpture Center in NY, she became adept at both stone sculpture and bronze casting. Solo exhibitions include CFM Gallery, NYC, NY; Roslyn Sailor Fine Arts, Margate, NJ; Broadhurst Gallery, Pinehurst, NC; Southern Vermont Art Center, Manchester, VT; Pendragon Gallery, Annapolis, MD; White Lights Gallery, Nyack, NY; Barbara Debetz Gallery, NYC, NY; Lavaggi Gallery, NYC, NY; and Six Summit Gallery in Ivoryton, CT. Her works have also been on public display throughout NYC.

She has been teaching in the New York area for over 40 years. Ailene also co-owns a retail sculpting supply business, The Compleat Sculptor, a fixture in the Soho area for sculptors and artists.
