Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Charles Jester (1876-1952), Chincoteague, Virginia. This hollow full bodied black duck has fine scratch feather painting on the body and detailed paint on the head. Charles Jester was extremely skilled and his limited production has made his carvings some of the most sought after of any Chincoteague decoys. This is a very fine example.
Original; paint wear on back and tail.
