Attributed to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, circa 1800, yellow pine secondary, painted metal face with second dial and calendar dial, bell strike, back of face with painted initials "FE" and illegible pencil to underside of support board, brass works, the hood with a broken arched pediment featuring applied rosettes, fluted plinth with turned urn finial over a carved rosette and scrolls, hinged and glazed tombstone door flanked by fully turned columns with upper and lower rings, with repeating columns to back corners, the hood features a dovetailed frieze and original rose-head nails to top board, the case with applied astragal trim, shaped hinged door with molded edge flanked by fluted corner columns, the base with applied trim flanked by repeating fluted corner columns on original shaped ogee bracket feet, with pendulum, two weights, case key, and winding key.
