Model 146 (referring to 146 cm), 1910, composed of Vuittonite with leather trim and corners, specifically designed to hang 12-15 garments by a patented sliding trolly with jam, the hinged top opens to a satin lined box, brass hardware, Louis Vuitton label on the hinged top and on the inner wardrobe, as well as engraved on the exterior clasp. (A locker option on the door was available for the gent's model). Original key retained with the wardrobe.

Extract from the 1914 Louis Vuitton Catalogue: "The indisputable advantage of these trunks is that they allow you to no longer unpack when you arrive at the hotel. As in the most perfect roberie, the dresses remain suspended forming no folds. As soon as we close the trunk, in a hurry against each other they can no longer move, hence the impossibility of crumpling or crumpling. It is the packaging reduced to its extreme simplicity---".

Leather is cracking with age; Vuittonite has toned from orange to brown with areas of loss; satin discolored with age; former owner's initials to one side; lacking hangers; other conditions related to age and travel usage.
