Late 18th century, porcelain hand painted with the Fitzhugh pattern in blue, body flanked by braided handles with berry sprays, cover with a flowerhead finial, with undertray painted in same manner, tray with unglazed underside.

Tureen 11 x 15 x 9 1/2 in.; Undertray 1 3/4 x 14 1/4 x 16 5/8 in.

Some old paper label remains on exterior of tureen body and interior of cover; very slight rim nick to undertray and possible restoration to side.
