First half of the 20th century, with importer's mark of Buchholz & Zelt of New York, the rectangular form box features chased tavern scenes to each side, the hinged cover surmounted by a finely cast model of a thoroughbred atop of a naturalistic chased grassy knoll and surrounded by floral and foliate scrolls in the rococo style, parcel gilt, no monograms.
