One formed from an iron coil with welded and hinged iron plates suspended from the interior (10.5 in.); the second of black painted metal plates with gilt soldering with engraved signature (6 x 7.5 x 2.75 in.).

A UNC Greensboro graduate, Carolyn always had a love of nature. In the 1980s she went back to her alma mater to study in sculpture and there she incorporated found objects in her works. Her sculptures can be found in public and private collections throughout Greensboro.

Good condition with original surface rust and patina.
