Circa 1850, the suite in laminated rosewood construction, each with carved flower and fruit crests, yellow woven damask upholstery, including a triple back sofa with curved ends, scrolled molded arms, repeating floral carved skirt and knees with acanthus carved feet on casters (41.5 x 79.5 x 29 in., seat height 17 in.); an armchair with molded and scrolled arms, serpentine seat on carved cabriole legs with casters (43 x 25 x 24 in., seat height 16 in.); a pair of slipper chairs with repeating floral carvings, serpentine seat on casters (37 x 19 x 19 in., seat height 16 in.), unmarked; together with an associated carved rosewood coffee table featuring two flush drawers, carved standard on four cabriole pierce carved legs (20 x 40 x 25 in.), unmarked.
