The two gallon riser is 19th century, salt glazed stoneware, marked "2" hand inscribed, otherwise unmarked (9 1/2 x 11 1/2 in.) (chips to inner and outer upper rims; two scrape marks to flat portion of the rim); the canning jar is also salt glazed stoneware, with Albany slip interior, straight sides, high inner mouth, unknown maker, script signed at mid-section "JUN NC" and on the underside "KM" (6 in.) (abrasions to rim and some nicks).
