Paul Schulze is a graduate of New York University and the Parsons School of Design, where he taught for many years. After working in industrial design, Schulze joined the Steuben Glass design department from 1961 to 1987. He designed a wide range of pieces for Steuben, ranging from line items to major engraved decorative pieces to abstract sculptures. His work has been exhibited in many museums, including The Corning Museum of Glass and the American Craft Museum. Schulze’s designs are also represented in the permanent collections of the National Air and Space Museum and of North Carolina State University, as well as in many private collections. In addition to his work with glass, Schulze is an accomplished watercolorist.

Good condition; tusks appear to be re-glued.
