Robert Pigott (1879-1948), Tusk, North Carolina. Robert Pigott made some of the finest goose decoys to ever come from Core Sound. Most were found in the hunting rig of Roland Davis. This particular decoy is hollow and was made for Hildred O Golden of Sea Level, North Carolina. Hildred's father, George Golden, gave him a stand of decoys when he was a young boy. This stand included eight Pigott geese. This exceptional goose exhibits a wonderful patina.
