Dated Meiji 16 (1883), woodblock print, four prints from the series Bairei Kacho Gafu (Bairei’s Book of Birds and Flowers) which was often bound into volumes, either as four separate volumes or two volumes of spring and summer and fall and winter, all four prints are identically framed with silk mats, not examined outside of the frame.

Fading to color; some wear and dirt to paper most noticeable on one; some light creasing across center; not examined outside of the frames.
