20th century, a pair of square shaped planters hand painted with bats and gourds along a thick rim border, all four sides are hand painted with medallions of mythical creatures amid swirling vines and lotus blossoms, raised on four ruyi style shaped feet, hole to center of both, each comes with a fitted carved wooden base with square hole in the center.
