Janet "Gogo" Ferguson, a descendant of Thomas Carnegie, maintains a studio and lives on Cumberland Island Georgia. The time spent as a child and into adulthood on the secluded island has inspired her work with the natural beauty and wildness of her surroundings. Her work has been shown at the High Museum in an exhibition titled Gogo: Nature Transformed. She designed John and Carolyn Kennedy’s wedding rings and a necklace for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and her designs have been gifted to heads of state and first ladies.
