Henry Murphy (1898-1965), Davis, North Carolina. Henry is one of the most significant carvers from North Carolina. His pintails are rare and are museum quality pieces. He guided for about thirty years. One of his most loyal clients was Tom Zachary. Zachary was a pitcher for the Washington Senators. Babe Ruth also hunted Davis, NC on a regular basis. Coincidentally, Babe Ruth and Tom Zachary hunted Davis, NC on the same day. Zachary had served up Ruth home run pitches number one and number sixty the year Ruth crushed sixty homers. This is an important bird.
