Late 18th century, arched crest rail with relief carved rosette and bellflower, three pierced and molded back splats terminating in carved rosettes set within an applied molded shoe, over-upholstered bowed seat, front square tapered legs with stop fluting on spade feet, rear down-swept legs with spade feet.

36 x 21 x 18 in., seat height 18.5 in.

Both need to be reupholstered; each with break and repair to crest rail; the needlepoint seat chair with stabilized plugs to rear legs at stile joint; the un-upholstered chair with some loose joinery; insect damage to secondary wood seat frame.
