David Lawrence (1949- 2001), Harkers Island, North Carolina. David was one of the original seven men who formed the Core Sound Decoy Carver Guild in 1987. He was also extremely instrumental in forming the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum. He is a favorite son of Carteret County and his influence today is immeasurable. His decoys are rare and highly coveted. Composed pair of dippers are considered rumors. Signed and dated 1990.
