Alvah Fulcher (1896-1971), Stacy, North Carolina. Alvah was a full time waterman and had two hunting blinds on Fulcher's Creek. His avocation was decoy making and hunting. His son, Alva Braxton, recalls he shot primarily blackheads because redheads were not easy to decoy. This blackhead decoy is circa 1920s and has a wonderful patina. Decoys by his hand are extremely rare.
