Ammie Paul (1872-1952), Davis, North Carolina. Ammie was the first care taker of Carteret Gun and Rod Club. He served there from 1903 to 1905 and this decoy was likely made there. It is branded HM which indicates it was once part of the hunting rig of Henry Murphy. Henry was another significant decoy maker from Davis. This is a truly special Core Sound decoy.
