Lot Details & Additional Photographs
George Midgett (1881-1926), Manns Harbor, North Carolina. These decoys were made around 1900 when Midgett went to work at the Rodanthe Life Saving Station. The style and profile of his decoys are unmistakably from the Outer Banks. The elongated necks and head pattern is very folksy and attractive.

Length 20 in.

Original paint with gunning wear; one bird has a working neck repair.
