19th century, the Hindu god Shiva is depicted performing his dance of destruction which leads to rebirth of the world surrounded by a circular halo of flames, he stands atop a demon representing conquering ignorance, entire sculpture is raised on a tiered rectangular base surmounted by lotus petals.

14 5/8 x 12 1/2 in.

Good estate condition; some minor losses on halo by Shiva's foot; some minor pushes to base.
