Sophy Brown was born and raised in Birmingham, England. She moved to the United States in 1987 to study and obtain her MFA in painting from the University of Michigan. She has painted murals and landscapes and abstracts, but finds her greatest inspiration at the rodeos throughout the American West. She currently maintains a studio in Colorado and exhibits her work nationally.
