Signed to lower right corner "Helen Hyde, Tokyo, April 1904," figures walking under cherry blossoms tree along a river with umbrellas raised to shield from the sun or falling petals, with elaborately carved wooden frame of large cherry blossoms, Helen Hyde lived in Japan, known for making woodblock prints with mainly women and children, her paintings are more rare.
