Mark of assay master Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin of Moscow, circa 1898-1908, with mark of the Joint-Stock Company of Moscow Goldsmiths' Artels (A.O.A.M.3), the case applied all over with pinned-on heraldic shield emblems, gold plated monograms and signatures, further pictorial elements including a hand holding an enameled bottle of Ruinart Champagne, a smoking cigarette, horse shoe, a stirrup, a handgun, a folding camera on tripod, stag's head, female nude, and a riding crop; the verso also incorporates a circular frame set with old single cut diamonds within which is a small indistinct watercolor painting.
