Approximately a dozen books from the working library of artist Mary Abbott (American, 1921-2019); most with her ownership name on the front endpaper; with occasional handwritten notation or commentary by her; an exhibition book for de Kooning: drawings/sculptures organized by the Walker Art Center in 1974 and Willem de Kooning by Thomas B. Hess, published for MOMA; also, five books inscribed to Mary Abbott by her friend Barbara Guest, a North Carolina poet; a book of poetry by Mary Abbott's mother, inscribed to her with a poem; a two-volume set, The Drawings of Paul Cezanne; Byzantine Paintings, Ravenna Mosaics, Kishangarh Paintings; and others.

Some with dust jacket wear and tear, commensurate with age; some with toning to pages (particularly the 1928 Nonsuch Press copy of Dante's Divine Comedy).
