Pen and ink on paper, signed and dated 1880; five scenes in Ireland are identified as "Quarry Bog, Westmeath," "Gateway Knockdrin Castle," "Mullingar on the Brosna" and "Home of Kate Kearney," the fifth landscape above is unidentified but depicts hay gathering by a river; matted and framed under glass, a cardboard label affixed to the verso reads "Pen & Ink Sketches of scenes in his ancestral / regions of Ireland by Edward Gay, N.A. 1880 / Kate Kearney was a cousin / Property of Dorothy Gay Gordon / To Richard Gay Coker 1971."
