Two vintage reproduction prints after Wood's 1933 mixed-media on paperboard works titled Race Horse and Draft Horse, both printed circa 1930s, ink signed to one side beneath decorative border and "Horses by Grant Wood" text, framed together in double-sided/paned frame with custom matting.

Sheet sizes 4 1/2 x 6 in.; Frame dimensions 10 1/4 x 11 1/4 in.

The consignor of these prints and Grant Wood were neighbors in the 1930s, and Wood gifted the consignor several works. Our research has only uncovered these two impressions of the horse prints offered here. The only other reference we've found to the images are the drawings on which they're based - Race Horse that was offered at Christie's in 2018, and Draft Horse that was part of a private collection at the time. These prints could possibly have been taken from a book, or they may be the only impressions of these prints in existence based on the signature and the direct connection to Wood through provenance.

Very good estate condition; some slight sheet toning and few minute edge nicks; some light frame wear; not examined out of frames.
