Knotts Island, North Carolina, referred to as "Ragged Island Club decoys" by the collector community, this is a wonderful example from a grouping of birds that are mostly destroyed.

Malachi is a folklore legend in regards to his handling of Yankee soldiers who tried to pillage his farm during the Civil War. Malachi shot several and escaped and provided our community with some exceptional decoys. This example came from the Ragged Island Club. The club was built on property that was part of 10,000 acres of marsh and islands in the upper area of Back Bay.
