Charlie had a thriving commercial hunting operation with blinds in Coinjock Bay and across Currituck Sound near Swan Island and Knotts Island. His decoys are known and appreciated for their sharp chine line in the bodies. Many of these decoys were carved at night and the paint would still be wet the next morning. As a result, most Snowden family decoys found have thin paint.
