Joe came from a family of fisherman, boatbuilders, and market hunters. He was the only one in the family known to make decoys. He made an estimated 200-400 decoys in his life. They have the forward crest on the heads and longer bodies. They were hunted often in the Caffey's Inlet area and most were lost to storms.
Combination of original and working repaint; working repair to neck; linear crack in right side of the bill.
